Amber Liekhus

Described by the Los Angeles Times as “a versatile singer, whose voice is at once regal and affectionate,” Amber Liekhushas enjoyed a dynamic career across theatre, opera, and concert stages throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Her theatre credits include Jelly’s Last Jam (Pasadena Playhouse), Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Musical Theatre West, McCoy Rigby), We Can Do It (Wilshire Ebell Theatre), La Cage! (Hollywood Roosevelt), Annie (Hollywood Bowl), Sweet Charity (Reprise 2.0), and Blues in the Night (The Wallis). At A Noise Within, Amber has appeared as Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, Mrs. Curtin in A Man of No Importance, the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, and as a featured singer in The Skin of Our Teeth.
An accomplished operatic soprano, Amber has performed the Queen of El Dorado in Candide (LA Opera), the title role in Suor Angelica (Opera di Roma), and Lily in Porgy and Bess with San Francisco Opera and LA Opera. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Southeast Symphony and Pacific Symphony, performed with Singers of Soul, collaborated with DC6 Singers Collective in MUSE/IQUE’s Tribute to Etta James, and recently sang backup for Josh Groban at the Hollywood Bowl.
As a highly sought-after vocal teacher and coach, Amber is known for her ability to build healthy technique, artistic freedom, and genuine confidence in singers. Her teaching combines professional-level technical training with warmth, clarity, and an intuitive understanding of each student’s unique voice.
